Eminem has said he has to ‘cuss’ in his raps to sell records, but it seems the king of cursing has been surpassed by another.
A new study analyzed over 90 top Billboard 100 artists and over 3,632 songs spanning multiple genres to uncover who has the foulest mouth.
While Eminem has long held the title, Drake has taken the crown with 2,289 curse words in his music, beating the previous champion by 439.
Data showed that Drake utters a swear in every 45 lyrics, with the most used one being ‘sh*t.’

The study was conducted by Preply, an online language learning marketplace, which set out to see which artists use the most slang and swear words in their music.
Drake and Eminem ranked at the top, followed by J. Cole with 1,632 curse words, and Nicki Minaj came in fourth with 1,612.
Kendrick Lamar (1281), Kanye West (1,110), DJ Khaled (948), Future (939), Tyler The Creator (600) and Lil Uzi Vert (552) finished off the list.
However, Drake and Eminem have coined slang words that have since been added to the Oxford English Dictionary – ‘YOLO’ and ‘Stan.’
The chart-topping Canadian rapper popularized the term ‘YOLO, an acronym for ‘you only live once,’ in 2017.

And Eminem released a song titled ‘Stan’ in 2000 about an obsessive fan – the word now means ‘stalker.’
However, the Missouri rapper was found to have the most extensive vocabulary with over 8,000 unique words, meaning one in every five is unique.
Drake came second for the largest vocabulary with over 6,900 unique lyrics.
‘Taylor Swift is renowned for storytelling through her songs, which helps her connect with fans worldwide,’ the report reads.
The singer came seventh for most extensive vocabulary, with over 3,800 unique words – one of every nine of Swift’s lyrics is unique.
Eminem also ranked the highest regarding most slang words used – he has more than 404 in his songs.
