Drake, Rihanna’s ex, was suspected by fans of imitating ASAP Rocky’s style by using hairpins in his newly released MV.

A new look for Drake, featuring colorful hair clips, debuted last month. Drake has stuck with his controversial new hairstyle, even including it in an Oct. 6 Instagram picture promoting his album For All the Dogs. New “8AM in Charlotte” video also features him with the same hairstyle.

They Compare Drake to A$AP Rocky and Say He Copied Him

Since the album dropped, many have commented on how similar Drake’s hairstyle is to A$AP Rocky’s. Rocky’s current style, in which he wears pearl clips throughout his hair. During his appearance at 2023 Rolling Loud Miami in July, Rocky presented a head full of footage.

“Lmao is Drake growing his hair and wearing clips because of ASAP Rocky?” On Sunday, October 8th, a user of X (formerly known as Twitter) made the following message.

Another poster wonders, “Why is Drake copying everything asap Rocky doing with his hair?”

Drake is free to use as many hair clips as he likes to secure his signature loose curls. Never be able to compete with the beauty and thuggishness of ASAP Rocky. “I got the girl,” someone else on Twitter exclaimed.

In light of recent fan theories, Drake may be dissing A$AP Rocky’s gf Rihanna on “Fear of Heights.”
