Kim Kardashian has candidly shared her challenges as a single mum, admitting that she occasionally hides from her four children.

The 43-year-old SKIMS founder shares custody of her kids – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm West – with ex-husband Kanye West. Kim has admitted to feeling “overwhelmed” by parenting in the latest episode of The Kardashians.

“I don’t know why I don’t have it in me to be super strict,” she revealed. “Neither one of my parents were strict. Khloe is a lot better at being stricter. I wish I was more like that, but I’m just one person and it’s overwhelming. Just, how do I go about doing this all?”

In another part of the episode, Kim admitted to hiding from her kids to get a moment of peace. The reality star was caught on camera chatting on the phone while travelling in the back of an SUV.

“It’s just a little chaotic right now. Oh my God, no, what I wanted to say was that I had a Zoom interview at my house with all the kids there, banging on the door, just screaming and I was literally hiding in a bathroom with the door locked and I was just like, ‘I can’t believe this’,” she admitted.

Kim also said she was “open to anything” to try and control her kids as she revealed: “I can’t live like this. Like I’ve had it because I’ve ran out of my patience and that’s what my superpower was, calm and patient.”

Kim opened up to the cameras, saying: “Sometimes it gets just a little intense. I wanna be more strict like Khloe, but I don’t know why, I have a hard time just saying, ‘No is no’.

“I think I also don’t wanna deal with the whining and the tears of not getting their way.” She added: “They know when to con me and when to start with the tears so that I’m like, ‘Stop, stop, sure, take an iPad. Just stop’.”

Kim insisted she will “always be there” for her children, but admitted it doesn’t mean things don’t take “an emotional toll”. Speaking in a confessional, she said: “Managing four kids and a household when they’re not getting along and they all want different things and I’m only one person, this always shuts them up. I always say, ‘Okay guys, do you want me to just cut myself in half or in fours and a part will go with you, a part will go with you’ and they look at me like, ‘No, don’t ever do that’. I’m like, ‘Okay well that’s the only option if you all want me at the same exact time. We’ve gotta chill.”
