Kim Kardashian is still working towards becoming an attorney like her late father Robert Kardashian and gave fans an update on her law school journey on Tuesday.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the SKIMS founder, 43, shared a photo of herself looking over her study papers and taking notes.

In the caption, Kim revealed that’s been learning all about hearsay exceptions — which she admitted is her ‘least favorite subject’ to study.

‘I can’t deal w all these f****** hearsay exceptions!’ she wrote. ‘My least favorite subject in law school!’

Hearsay exceptions are when an out-of-court statement is being offered in court for the truth of what was asserted, which, in most instances is inadmissible, unless an exception to the hearsay rule applies.

Kim has been training as a lawyer since 2019 in memory of her dad – who worked as a high-profile attorney but died in 2003 at the age of 59.

The mother-of-four passed California’s baby bar examination in 2021 after four attempts.

She plans to take the California bar exam in 2025.

Despite not yet being a lawyer, Kim already has some legal success under her belt.

The Hulu star helped to successfully campaign for the clemency of Alice Marie Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison for a nonviolent offense.

She’s also been consistently advocating for inmates.

Most recently, Kim visited VP Kamala Harris at  the White House in April to champion criminal justice.

As she pursues dreams of becoming a real-life lawyer, it was recently revealed that Kim was pitched her own legal divorce drama by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy last year.

Kim made her acting debut as publicist Siobhan Corbyn in American Horror Story: Delicate — which aired in two parts in 2023 and 2024 — and Murphy was delighted with her performance.

On a recent episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Ryan told Kim: ‘You were really, really good to the point where they called me and were like, “Do you think Kim would want to do her own show?”‘

In a confessional after the chat, Kim joked she wasn’t sure what she ‘got herself into,’ and wondered if she could ‘really pull this off’.

Murphy – who also created the likes of Glee, Nip/Tuck and Ratched – then revealed his pitch for Kim’s potential series.

‘Kim is the world’s best, most expensive divorce lawyer, and she has her own firm, and the thing about her firm is it’s an all-female firm,’ he suggested.

The businesswoman — who has been divorced three times —  joked she ‘has some experience’ in the field. She was previously married to Kanye West, Kris Humphries and Damon Thomas.

Ryan continued: ‘Kim is the world’s best, most expensive divorce lawyer, and she has her own firm, and the thing about her firm is it’s an all-female firm.’

Kim admitted she has had some ‘funny’ moments with celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who helped with two of her three splits.

She said: ‘I’m just like, ‘Don’t ever let me do this again!’ And the next one she’d be like, ‘Hi, you reminded me last time, don’t ever let you do this again.’ ‘

Ryan joked that they might need to ‘build a sound stage outside’ Kim’s home, with the mother-of-four also balancing law school, her hit reality show and various businesses.

However, she suggested she’ll have more time after taking the bar exam in 2025.

Pondering a catchphrase for the show, Ryan quipped: ‘”Not only am I a lawyer, but I play one on TV.”‘
