Shakira announced on February 15 that her new record Las Soones Ya No Lloran will be released on March 22.
The 47-year-old Latin pop star – who split from footballer Gerard Pique in 2022 after more than a decade together – has so far released 11 studio albums since she was a teenager.

Shakira said: “The creation of this work was an alchemical process (the purpose of alchemy is to purify, mature and perfect certain objects).
While writing each song, I recreate myself. When I sing them, my tears turn into diamonds and my vulnerability into strength.”
The singer recently gave fans a glimpse of what’s to come in her Super Bowl commercial trailer , and the new record will include eight new songs along with hit singles previously released, including Music Sessions Vol. 53 with Bizarrap , TQG with Karol G , Te Felicito with Rauw Alejandro, Copa Vacía with Manuel Turizo…
The new album marks Shakira ‘s first release on vinyl, featuring four separate artwork versions, each accompanied by an exclusive colored vinyl variant.
The Sapphire version will be available exclusively on Amazon , while the Ruby version will be available only at Target .
Fans can find the Emerald edition exclusively on Shakira ‘s official website , and the Diamond edition will be stocked by all major retailers.
Singer She Wolf has not released an album since 2017 after releasing the album that topped the Billboard chart – El Dorado.
With this album, Shakira sang mainly in her native Spanish and it spawned the singles Chantaje and Me Enamore .
Previously, Shakira released the self-titled record, which was considered her 4th English album and it contained the hit single Can’t Remember To Forget You , which featured Rihanna.
Overall, Shakira has had eight Top 10 albums on the Top Latin Albums chart, six of which reached number 1, including Dónde Están Los Ladrones? (1998), Fijación Oral: Vol. 1 (2005) and Sale El Sol (2010).
In 2023, Shakira released many consecutive singles, including the impressive song Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, Copa Vacía, El Jefe – catchy polka-tinged ska tunes with Fuerza Regida and the poignant ballad Acróstico .
Shakira has been mostly silent about her new album, but in an interview with Billboard in September 2023, the global superstar shared why it took her 6 years to release a new album.
“The last time I released an album was 6 years ago. Now I can release music at a faster pace, although sometimes I think being a single mother and the rhythm of a pop star is not compatible with each other.
When you don’t have a husband who can stay home and take care of the kids, it’s difficult because I need to be with my kids all the time: taking them to school, having breakfast with them, taking them out. And besides that, I also have to make money.”
