These draft terms describe the basic rules for using LiveTrue News World during its launch edition. They are written in plain language and have not been reviewed by a lawyer; they should be reviewed before the site operates beyond this launch.

1. What this site is

LiveTrue News World is an information site. During the launch edition, every story, fact-check entry and perspective piece is an illustrative scenario created to demonstrate how the publication will work. None of it is a report of real events, and it should not be relied on as news.

2. No advice

Content on this site is for general information. It is not medical, legal, financial, investment or professional advice. If a story discusses health science, for example, it explains a subject and does not tell any individual what to do. Consult a qualified professional about decisions that affect you.

3. No warranties

The site is provided as it is, without promises of accuracy, completeness or availability. We try to keep it correct and working, and we will fix problems when we learn of them, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt the site or probe it for weaknesses.
• Do not use automated tools to copy the site at a rate that burdens it.
• Do not present illustrative launch stories as real news, for example by sharing them without the context that they are scenarios.
• Do not use the contact form to send unlawful, abusive or deceptive material.

5. Intellectual property

The text, design and layout of the site belong to the site's operators unless otherwise stated. Images shown are illustrative and are used for demonstration. You may link to any page and may quote short passages with attribution and a link back. Reproducing whole stories requires permission.

6. Links and third parties

The site relies on third-party font and style providers. We are not responsible for their services or policies. If we link to outside material in future, we do not endorse it by doing so.

7. Features that do not exist yet

Accounts, memberships, donations, the email newsletter, audio archives and mobile apps are not available. Pages that mention them describe plans, not services, and nothing on the site constitutes an offer or a promise to deliver them on a specific date.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the site develops, and the date at the bottom of the page shows the latest revision. Questions about the terms can be sent to [email protected], a placeholder address for the launch edition.
